Donate to Protect Muskoka Bay from Overdevelopment

The Province has entered into a conditional agreement to sell the former Muskoka Regional Centre lands to Cliff Bay Muskoka Corp. The plan includes:

  • Up to three hotels
  • Nearly 1,400 resort/residential units
  • Ten six-story buildings
  • Two restaurants and 33 villas built out over the lake
  • A 262-foot pier and marina with up to 80 slips

The Muskoka Bay Property Owner’s Association (MBPOA) and the Muskoka Lakes Association (MLA) are partnering to press the Ontario Government and the Town of Gravenhurst to ensure this development is scaled back to conform to Gravenhurst’s Official Plan and zoning protections.

It costs money for us to do this on your behalf particularly when making use of professional planners, government relations experts and lawyers. Therefore, we are asking you to contribute to a fund to protect Muskoka Bay.

Whether your gift is $50, $250, $1,000 or more, you are helping protect the future of Muskoka Bay and the investment you have made in your cottage. Once this shoreline is built out, there is no going back.

If you have any questions please contact Tom Closson, MBPOA Board Secretary, through our contact form page.

Thank you for your help!
